Apple Scone Recipe

Makes 8-12 scones
Preparation time: less than 20 minutes
Cooking time : 10 to 15 minutes
8 oz Flour
4 fl oz Milk
2 oz Butter
1 oz Caster Sugar
1 oz Demerera Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon (Ground)
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Cox's Apple (Cubed)
In a large bowl, sift together the salt, cinnamon and flour. Using your hands, mix in the butter until a breadcrumb consistency. Add the apple cubes, sugar and demerera sugar while stirring.
Make a well in the middle and pour in the milk. Mix until a soft doughy consistency. Remove from the bowl and place on a floured board. Knead the dough until smooth and without lumps
Roll into small circles about 1“ thick and cut edges off with a pastry cutter. Place in an oven preheated to 400 F and bake for about 10 minutes or until browned off.
Cool on a wire rack and serve.
