Scone Toppings

So you have baked your scones and they have been cooled ready to serve?

Although fine on their own, the taste of scones can be greatly enhanced using a variety of toppings to add to your recipes.


Some popular scone recipe toppings are as follows:


Strawberry Jam
Raspberry Jam
Clotted Cream
Apricot Jam
Cheese
Cranberries
Orange Marmalade
Lemon Curd
Orange Butter (Orange Marmalade mixed with butter)
Butter

The topping you choose will greatly depend on the type of scone you are serving - savoury or sweet etc.
