Cheese Scone Recipe 2

Ingredients
100g Plain flour
25g Butter
50g Grated Chedder-type cheese
Half a teaspoon cream of tartar
Quarter a teaspoon bicarb of soda
150ml milk
Sprinkling of cayenne pepper
Small pinch of salt

Sift the flour, salt, cream of tartar and bicarb into a basin and lightly rub in the butter until you have fine crumbs. Add the cheese an cayenne and mix to a soft pliable dough. Lightly roll out and cut into rounds with a 4cm cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until well puffed up.
Cool on a wire rack and serve.
