Raspberry Scone Recipe
Recipe makes around 10 scones
You will need the following ingredients to make your raspberry scones...
Baking powder (about 2 teaspoons of)
all purpose (unsifted) flour - you will need about 2 and a half cups
1/4 teaspoon of Salt
sugar - about 3 spoonfulls (tablespoons)
1 cup of Raspberries - fresh
Butter or margarine (around 6 tablespoons)
3/4 of a cup of Milk
How to make your raspberry scones...
First heat your oven to 425 degrees. Next, in a large dish or mixing bowl scrunch together your sugar, salt, flour and and your baking powder. Once you have done this add your butter to the mix until it looks similar to coarse breadcrumbs. Add in some of your raspberries and then pour in the milk. With a fork mix together until the mixture bonds together. With flour on your hands form the mixture into a ball. On a floured work surface roll out the mix into 1/2 inch thick slab with a rolling pin. Cut the dough into circles with a cutter. Place the uncooked mix on greased baking sheet and bake until golden (this should take about 12 minutes).
Serve your scones warm with some whipped cream and extra raspberries. Enjoy!
